PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an IC card reader and to precisely radio-connect the IC card reader and an IC card through an antenna. SOLUTION: In the IC card reader 1 consisting of a metallic casing 18, a control substrate 17, an antenna substrate 16A installed between the metallic casing 18 and the control substrate 17 and the pattern of an antenna coil 16B formed in a loop form on the antenna substrate 16A, when an IC card 2 having an antenna coil generating induced current by receiving an oscillation magnetic field generated from the antenna coil 16B is inserted into a card insertion port 20 installed between the metallic casing and the antenna substrate, data are read and written to and from the card 2. A magnetic body 19A is installed between the metallic casing 18 and the card insertion port 20. A magnetic body 19B is installed between the antenna substrate 16A and the control substrate 17. |
