PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heat insulating performance and prevent the generation of dewing in a main body case by a method wherein an air gap, having an opening between the peripheral rim of a heat insulating member and the inside of a top plate, is formed between the inside of the main body case and the heat insulating member while a plurality of upper blades, surrounding a fan motor, are provided above a turbo fan. SOLUTION: A turbo fan 4, driven by a fan motor 3, is arranged at the substantially central part of the inside of a top plate 2 in a box type main body case 1 while a heat exchanger 5 is arranged so as to surround the fan and motor to constitute a ceiling embedded type air conditioner. In this case, an air gap 11, having an opening 10 between the peripheral rim of a heat insulating member 6 and the inside of a top plate 2, is formed between the inside of the main body case 1 and the heat insulating member 6, provided on the inside of the main body case 1, as well as the main body case 1, opposed to the upper part and the side part of the heat exchanger 5. Further, a plurality of upper blades 12 are provided above the turbo fan 4. According to this method, a part of suction air is introduced into the air gap 11 through the opening 10 to improve a heat insulating performance for the main body case 1 and prevent the generation of dew in the main body case 1. |
