PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make suppressible the core vibration of the rotary shaft of a rotary drum. SOLUTION: Three weights 14 are arranged in a rotary drum 5 at equal intervals in the circumferential direction, these weights 14 are guided by three guiding grooves 13 so as to be freely moved from a rotational center O to a radial line P, and these weights 14 are moved and pressed to the rotational center O side by three tensile coil springs 15. Thus, plural rotary magnetic heads attached to the outer periphery of the rotary drum are stably rotated along a constant rotational locus, a contact state is stabilized between these rotary magnetic heads and a magnetic tape, and these rotary magnetic heads accurately trace the recording track of the magnetic tape. Thus, a data recording/reproducing characteristics is greatly improved, and high-density recording/playing is carried out highly accurately.
