PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compact phase shifter by allowing a switched line type phase shifter and a loaded line phase shifter to share a part of a transmission line. SOLUTION: This phase shifter is constituted so that a switched line type phase shifter and a loaded line phase shifter can share a part of a transmission line. In this phase shifter, a part of a transmission line 1 and transmission lines 3 and 4 and switches SWa-SWd constitute a switched line part 7. In the same way, a part of the transmission path 1 and transmission lines 5 and 6 and switches SWe and SWf constitute a loaded line part 8. Then, this phase shifter is provided with a structure in which the switched line type phase shifter (switched line part 7) whose phase shifting amounts are 180 deg. is combined with a loaded line phase shifter (loaded line part 8) with arbitrary phase shifting amounts (Σϕ), and they are operated as independent phase shifters. Therefore, the phase adjustment of an input signal 9 with high frequencies is operated by 180 deg. in a switched line part 7, and the phase adjustment is operated by the arbitrary phase shifting amounts (Δϕ) in the loaded line part 8, and then the input signal 9 is outputted as an output signal 10.
