摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve high-speed responsiveness in cutting off a current by connecting a semiconductor switch in parallel with a mechanical switch group wherein plural mechanical switches each used for closing and opening an electric circuit by means of connection and disconnection of a pair of electrodes are connected in series. SOLUTION: This hybrid switch 10 is instantly brought into a closing state by the actuation of a semiconductor switch 4, an off-command is transmitted to the semiconductor switch 4 after entering into a current carrying state, and the entire current in the hybrid switch 10 flows through a mechanical high-speed switch group 12. In order to open the hybrid switch 10, an off-command is transmitted to the mechanical high-speed switch group 12 as well as an on- command is transmitted to the semiconductor switch 4, Mechanical high-speed switches 2a-2c are opened later in terms of time. The current flowing through the mechanical high-speed switch group 12 is rapidly transferred to the semiconductor switch 4, and the cutting off of the current on the mechanical high-speed switch group 12 side is completed. Next, by turning off the semiconductor switch 4 by the off-command, the current flowing through the hybrid switch 10 is cut off.
