PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to efficiently obtain good productivity by using optical fiber-aligning members which make it possible surely obtain non-defective articles by temporally fixing a plurality of optical fibers to the optical fiber- aligning members and normally fixing the optical fibers to the optical fiber- aligning member decided to have the array within a permissible range. SOLUTION: The optical fiber-aligning member are manufactured by molding or grinding, etc., and are subjected to cleaning. In an inspection stage, the optical fibers are lined up in the optical fiber engaging parts of the optical fiber- aligning members and are retained from above by a retaining plate and are temporally fixed. Light is passed through the optical fibers in this state and pitch accuracy is inspected. When the optical fibers are decided to be accepted as a result of the inspection, the retaining plate and the optical fibers are once removed and a UV curing adhesive is dropped to the optical fiber-aligning member. The optical fibers are again lined up in the optical fiber engaging parts and the adhesive is dropped. The adhesive is cured by irradiation with UV light to normally fix the optical fibbers. The retaining jig is removed and the optical fibers are completed.
