DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS CONTROLLING METHOD, AND COMPUTER- READABLE MEMORY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image display device which can display an image fast with inexpensive constitution and its controlling method, and the computer- readable memory. SOLUTION: Pieces of image data are stored by a CD-R drive 4. The image data to be displayed is held in a DRAM 2. A specific number of image data among the image data stored by the CD-R drive 4 are transferred to the DRAM 2. The held image data are processed by a JPEG compressing/expanding part 5 or/and a resizing part 6. A CPU 1 controls the display of the processed image data and the transfer of the specific number of image data among the image data stored by the CD-R drive 4 to the DRAM 2 is controlled according to the display control.
