The applicator is composed of a prehensile reservoir flange part (1) on which an applicator material (2) is fixed. The reservoir is filled, whilst deformed, during the making of the applicator. When the applicator is extracted from its packaging the flange reservoir part regains its shape and diffuses the contained fluid to the applicator material.
