The hearing aid (1) has an electroacoustic input converter, a signal processing device and an electroacoustic output converter. For free-switching and/or blocking of different properties of the hearing aid, e.g. functions, power ratings or programmable settings, different keys are provided. Both a hardware key (5) and a software key are possible.
