A planetary gear for an automotive automatic gearbox has an input shaft with a sun wheel which interlocks with the planetary wheels. The sun wheel is surrounded by a ring gear. The planetary wheels are supported by a support with two spaced discs separated by hub-like cross-pieces. The support discs are positioned on the cross-pieces at a point which is subjected to minimum load, and joined together by welding.
