Plastic container manufacture from strip and addition of decorative bands by use of two rows of band feeding systems which feed all cavities in the rows and then shift to feed a further two rows

A thermoforming tool block is used with 2n rows of k forming cavities(32A), n and k being whole numbers. Two rows of k band feeding and locating systems(54,58) align with the 2k cavities of two rows(R'4,R'3) of cavities of the cavity block(52,42). A decorative band is fed into each of the 2k cavities and in n-1 cycles the 2k band feed systems are shifted to align with 2k cavities of two further rows(R'2,R'1) of the cavity blocks and feed each cavity of these. An Independent claim is made for a plant for producing plastic containers from film strip(10) fed to a thermoforming station with the previously described tool block and systems for feeding decorative bands to the edges of the containers.
