<p>A car seat belt wind-up device capable of eliminating such disadvantages that a construction where a strong spring or a weak spring is used selectively in seat belt withdrawal and storage/installation is complicated and, in particular, a weak power spring is complicated in shape, requiring a long working time and severe control and resulting in increased cost, comprising a shaft (2) interlocked with a car seat belt windup shaft (10), an elastic windup member (3) having an end and press-fitted on the shaft (2), positioning means (4, 5) to which one end of the windup member (3) is fixed and which stops the windup member (3) when the shaft (2) is rotated in the winding up direction at the time of installation of a seat belt (8), and a power spring (6) with a core part fixed to the shaft (2), whereby, when the seat belt is extracted and stored, a power spring output acts on the seat belt and, when the shaft (2) is rotated in the winding up direction at the time of installation of the seat belt, a force of friction between the windup member (3) and the shaft (2) acts as a braking force against the power spring output so as to reduce a windup force at the installation of the seat belt.</p> |
