PURPOSE: A method for controlling unlawful subscribers on personal communications services(PCS) is provided to control usage of mobile stations(MSs) according to unlawful types of the subscribers, by making a mobile station center(MSC) classify the types of the unlawful subscribers to variably control the MSs in base stations(BSs). CONSTITUTION: Unlawful subscribers are classified according to unlawful types in a home location register(HLR), a visitor location register(VLR), an authentication center(AUC), and a mobile station center(MSC). If a subscriber is decided as an unlawful subscriber in the HLR/the VLR/the AUC/the MSC, the subscriber is compared with the classified types to select one corresponding type. A location updation reject message including a reject cause is transmitted to a base station(BS) according to the selected unlawful type. The BS decides whether a "lock until power-cycled order" or a "maintenance required order" has to be transmitted to a mobile station(MS) of the unlawful subscriber according to the reject cause. |
