Cooling air recirculates in separate closed circuits, above and below the plastic (3) one for each side (4,5). Each circuit includes a cooler (15,15'). Preferred features: Cooler casings are located above and below, covering the width (B), and a given length (L), of the plastic. Inside, two sections (7, 8) complete the circuit, one guiding air closely over the hot plastic surface, the other containing the circulating fan and air cooler. Adjustable seals (16, 17) on the casing resist air leakage from it, at the surfaces of the plastic. The two casings are joined together and can be adjusted along the roller track. The fans are axial, numbers of them being located side by side across the width of the casing. The coolers are tube or finned heat exchangers. Cooling air is projected against the direction of travel on the conveyor. |
