A test-plate designed to check the useability or suitability of manufactured items and materials for the fabrication of printed circuit boards. In the region (2) of at least a first edge (3) of the test plate (1), at least one first series (4) of adjacent lines (5) is provided transversely to their length at right-angles to the edge (3) with equal spacing between each line. Spacing markers are provided along the series of lines. At least one further series (7-9) of adjacent lines is provided on the test plate.
