SUBSTANCE: described are new (R)-(-)-methylphenyloxazolidinone derivatives of formula I: wherein R is hydrocarbon residue having carbon atoms up to 5 which have ZNS activity and inhibit TNF-product. Also described is method of preparation of said derivatives. Method comprises converting methylphenyloxazolidinone derivative racemate together with optically active adjuvant into mixture of diastereomers and optically active adjuvant is then isolated. Compounds of formula I are useful for preparing pharmaceutical agent which is used for treatment and prophylaxis of diseases by stimulation of TNF.
