The invention relates to a convection air heaters and describes a heater for solid fuels, usable for heating the rooms. Heater has a cylindrical combustion chamber (1) arranged horizontally and formed by pipe elbows (2). Heater has a front-end wall (8) with a fire door (9) having a handle (25) for service together with a mechanism for fixation, rear-end wall (11) with a flue gas extractor (12) , a combustion chamber (1) having deflection device (13) and nozzles (17) for secondary air having inlet holes arranged into pipe elbows (2). The purpose of the invention is to increase the efficiency as well as the security and convenience of service of the heater. In that purpose the combustion chamber has been added additional heat exchanger (21) having side walls like the ones of the combustion chamber, also the heater has a deflection device (13) in a combustion chamber (1) supported by fixing elements (14) mounted on side walls to allow the thermal expansion of the details having different temperature, and a fire door having a spiral torsion spring (24) to shut the fire door and the window (31) which allows to watch the burning process , and a handle (25) for service the heater made of a spiral spring to avoid its heating. Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section of a heater and a heat exchanger situated as a separate module between the heater and a flue.
