<p>A composition used as a protective coating for copper pipes in water heating systems consists of a stabilized resin based on polyvinyl chloride. Protective coating for copper pipes is made of a composition based on polyvinyl chloride and containing up to 20% of chalk type filler with an average diameter 0.5-5 microns, preferably 1-5 microns, and 98% having diameter below 20 microns, preferably below 15 microns. The composition preferably also contains a thermal stabilizer and co-stabilizer, and optional plasticizer. An Independent claim is also included for the method of production of a protective coating on copper pipes, comprising continuous extrusion with no soldering.</p> |
