SUBSTANCE: catalytic converter has channel coated with catalyst and having inlet hole to pass gas flow in longitudinal direction and, at least, the first and second turbulence generators. The latter are designed for producing gas turbulent flow and spaced from each other and from inlet hole. The first turbulence generator is located nearer to channel inlet hole than the second turbulence generator. Longitudinal center of the first generator is displaced longitudinal from channel inlet hole for distance X1 determined by expression given in the invention description.
