There provided is a soft pelletized drug composition which is easy to handle in the pharmaceutical manufacturing process, free from the risk for irritable reactions in the user, and controllable in the particle size distribution of the drug to be inhaled. The objective soft pelletized drug composition with a mean particle diameter of 100 mu m SIMILAR 1 mm can be produced by the disclosed technology, for example a method which comprises drying a solution or suspension of the drug substance having self-agglomerative properties in a solution of a sugar such as lactose, micronizing the dry mixture, and rolling the resulting finely micronized powder in a rotary drum.
