PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planing machine for both faces wherein the central line of a material delivering gap can be made to coincide with the central line of a workpiece by simple constitution. SOLUTION: While a workpiece is elastically held between top elastic driving rolls 23a and 23b and bottom elastic driving rolls 21a and 21b arranged at the top and the bottom of the inlet side of a material delivering passage 11, running force is provided to it and while the workpiece is pinched by means of a pair of press end parts 27 and 30a of top and bottom rocking press pieces 25 and 28a at the front of the front step planing tool 20, it is delivered into the planing tool 20 and in addition, while the workpiece is pinched by means of a press end part 30b of a rocking press piece 28b and a material delivering face provided on another frame side at the front of the back step planing tool 40, it is delivered into the planing tool 40. As the top and bottom elastic driving rolls have elasticity on their peripheral faces, even when there exists fluctuation on the thickness of the workpiece, the workpiece receives a memory elastic force of the same pressure on its top and bottom faces and the central line always coincides with the central line of the material delivering passage. |
