PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the wear resistance and scratch resistance to the friction with a heat sensitive recording heat by a method wherein a reinforcing layer including a binder resin and inorganic ultrafine particles having a specified maximum particle diameter is provided between a protective layer and a heat sensitive recording layer in a heat sensitive recording material, which is formed by providing the heat sensitive recording layer and the protective layer on a support. SOLUTION: A reinforcing layer including a binder resin and inorganic ultrafine particles having the maximum particle diameter of 0.4 μm or less is provided between a heat sensitive recording layer and a protective layer provided on a support in a heat sensitive recording material. In this case, the reinforcing layer preferably includes inorganic ultrafine particles having the maximum particle diameter of 0.4 μm or less, which is 20-200 wt.% of the binder resin in the reinforcing resin. Further, the protective layer includes inorganic ultrafine particles, the maximum particle diameter of each of which is 0.3 μm or less and the preferable content of the inorganic ultrafine particles is 2-20 wt.% of the binder resin in the protective layer. The preferable inorganic ultrafine particles to be used is exemplified by a barium sulfate, a zinc oxide, a magnesium oxide, a lead oxide, a calcium carbonate or the like. |
