PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a bottom water feed and a liquid fertilizer feed without requiring much labor and to prevent root rot via antibacterial activity by coating a fertilizer-containing substrate with a paint dispersed with fine pieces or fine grains of a copper film covered with silver in a vehicle. SOLUTION: An antibacterial object 1 is formed with a substrate 2, a paint film 3 and a coating 4 into a thin three-layer structure plate unmachined at the end face 1a in particular. Its shape is made adaptable to the shape of a flowerpot, e.g. a circular shape or a rectangular shape. The substrate 2 is made of fertilizer-containing paper with the thickness of about 0.2-0.3 mm. A fabric or a ceramic plate having a proper water absorbing property and a shape holding property may be used for the substrate 2. The paint film 3 is formed on one surface 5 of the substrate 2. The paint film 3 is made of a paint dispersed with copper fine pieces coated with silver on both faces or silver-coated fine grains in a vehicle. The antibacterial object 1 is mounted on the dish of the flowerpot with the paint film 3 faced downward, and the flowerpot is mounted directly on the coating 4. Root rot can be prevented without requiring much labor. |
