<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a silicon steel sheet low in core loss at a low cost. SOLUTION: At the time of subjecting steel having a compsn. contg., by weight, <=0.005% C, <=4.0% Si, 0.05 to 1.0% Mn, <=0.1% P, <=0.005% (including zero) N, <=0.0009% (including zero) S, <=1.0% Al, at least either Sb or Sn so as to satisfy 0.001 to 0.05% Sb+Sn/2, and consisting of the balance substantial Fe to hot rolling, hot rolled sheet annealing and cold rolling and subjecting it to finish annealing to produce a nonoriented silicon steel sheet, the hot rolled sheet is annealed at 800 to 1000 deg.C in a hydrogen-nitrogen mixed atmosphere in which the dew point is controlled to -20 to 20 deg.C and the partial pressure of nitrogen is controlled to >=20%.</p> |
