PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupler device which gives a good riding feeling, even through different shocks are generated between vehicles momentarily, in an acceleration time, the running time on an inclined truck and a curved truck, and the like, and generates no bucking problem. SOLUTION: The composing member 14 of a coupler is installed on a cylinder 2 housing a viscose fluid, and follower plates 11 and 12 are installed on piston rods 8 and 9 extending from both sides of a piston 7 to the outer sides of the cylinder 2. And both cylinder rooms 5 and 6 partitioned by the piston 7 are connected by a pipe line 21 to communicate the viscose fluid, and a flow rate control means 25 to control the area of the opening of an orifice continuously by the rotating angle of a rotary spool 30 is provided in the pipe line 21. The rotating angle of the rotary spool 30 is controlled depending on the displace amount between both wheels.
