PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a absorptive article such as a throw-away diaper which has a property to sufficiently prevent leakage and reduces the amount of the component materials of the absorptive article to be used. SOLUTION: This absorptive article includes a liquid permeable front surface sheet 2, a liquid impermeable leakproof sheet and a liquid holdable absorber 4 and is formed with three-dimensional guards 6 by disposing sheet materials 61 for forming the three-dimensional guards on both right and left side marginal parts in the longitudinal direction of the absorber 4. The leakproof sheet is so deposition as to exist on both right and left side marginal parts on the front surface side of the absorber 4 in such a manner that both right and left side marginal parts in the longitudinal direction thereof cover both right and left side marginal parts of the absorber 4.
