PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pliers for a split ring, capable of pushing the split ring open with a slight force. SOLUTION: Pliers are constituted of a pair of handle parts 12 and 13 pivotally attached to each other, jaw parts 15 and 16 extended from the tip sides of both the handle parts 12 and 13 so as to be narrowed to the tips in the mutually facing state, and a pair of opening hooks 17 and 18 installed in the tip parts of the jaw parts 15 and 16 and pointed in the closing direction of the jaw parts 15 and 16. Engaging concave parts 19 and 20 for a coil forming a split ring A are formed at the base parts of both the opening hooks 17 and 18 at the jaw part 15, 16 sides, and the split ring A can be pushed open by a slight force by allowing both the opening hooks 17 and 18 to bite into the coil from both sides.
