PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a printing position from being dislocated in conducting printing positioning with a printing positioning mark for implementation of printing processing. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a feed roller 4 whose part of outer periphery protrudes from a medium guide 5 located on the side of the front surface of a medium 2, and a pressure roller 3 which rises from the side of the back surface of the medium and is capable of a pressure contact with the feed roller 4. The rising operation of the pressure roller 3 when the medium 2 is set is divided into at least two steps based on the type of a medium. The feed roller 4 whose part of outer periphery protrudes from the medium guide 5b located on the side of the front surface of the medium 2, the pressure roller 3 which rises to operate from the side of the back surface of the medium 2 and is capable of a pressure contact with the feed roller 4, and a plurality of medium detection sensors S1 in the conveyance direction of the medium 2 are formed at prescribed intervals, thus the conveyance capacity of the medium 2 is corrected based on the information from the medium detection sensors S1 when attraction is commanded.
