PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container carrying device for carrying a container by use of a recessed part formed on the peripheral face of a body part of the container in the body circumferential direction. SOLUTION: In this container carrying device, a pair of body part guides 24 facing to each other provided along a carrying direction are engaged with a recessed part 17 from both sides of a body part 14 to support a container 11. A carrier means 26 carries the container 11 supported between the body part guides 24. The body part guides 24 engage with the recessed part 17 disposed in a middle position of the body part 14, having a largest opening width open in the peripheral face of the body part 14, and having a largest recessed amount from the peripheral face of the body part 14.
