PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance engine output without deteriorating exhaust gas performance by providing a cylindrical connecting member between a fuel spray device and air cleaner, configuring the inner periphery of the connecting member into a substantially tapered shape, having a large diameter end at the air cleaner side and providing a cooling means on the outer periphery of the connecting member. SOLUTION: An intake device 10 for taking in outdoor air inside of an engine is composed of an intake duct 11, that admits outdoor air upon the receipt of running pressure from forward, an air cleaner 12 that filtrates the intake air fed from the intake duct 11, and a connecting member 13 that introduces the intake air filtrated by the air cleaner 12 into a carburetor C. The connecting member 13 is formed of a light aluminum alloy and includes an upstream cylindrical portion, a downstream cylindrical portion and a cooling portion that cools the intake air. This allows engine output to be enhanced without deteriorating the exhaust gas performance.
