CRUSHING OF PLASTIC AND SOLID FUEL AND ORE REDUCING AGENT OBTAINED BY THE CRUSHING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and efficiently crush a plastic material to fine powder by mixing a plastic material with coal and crushing the mixture. SOLUTION: (A) A plastic material such as polyethylene is mixed with (B) coal at a B/A weight ratio of preferably 95/5-5/95, more preferably 80/20-20/80 and the mixture is crushed with a hammer mill, etc., to effect the crushing of the plastic material. The crushed mixture of plastic material and coal obtained by this process is useful as a solid fuel for boiler, kiln, cupola, etc., having excellent transportability, storability and combustibility and an ore- reducing agent for a vertical furnace for the production of pig iron for blast furnace, etc.
