PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll bar support structure effective against loads applied from all directions during rollover. SOLUTION: This support structure supports a roll bar 22 with an inverted U-shaped front by means of an upper cross member 20 extending in the cross direction of a vehicle body and having a closed cross section cut on a longitudinal imaginary vertical plane. In this case, the support structure includes two holes 40, 42 bored in the top side of the upper cross member 20 such that the two ends 38, 39 of the roll bar 22 can extend therethrough, and brackets 24, 26 connected to the peripheral edges of the holes. The roll bar 22 is attached to the upper cross member 20 by connecting to the upper cross member 20 within the closed structure of the upper cross member 20 the two ends of the roll bar 22 inserted through the holes, and connecting the middle portions 48, 49 of the roll bar 22 to the brackets 24, 26.
