PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent resistance to wear and puncture inducer and improve the tearing resistance by forming a side wall composition from natural rubber and cis-1,4-polybutadiene elastomer in which a carbon black reinforcing material having a large grain size is included. SOLUTION: The essential part of the lug/groove constituting part of a sidewall in a tire is formed of a rubber composition containing, on the basis of 100 pts.wt. of rubber (phr), (A) an elastomer consisting of (i) about 40-80 phr of cis-1,4-polyisoprene natural rubber and (ii) about 20 - about 60 phr of cis-1,4- polybutadiene rubber; (B) a reinforcing filler consisting of (i) about 5 - about 40 phr of carbon black having an iodine value of about 35 - about 85 g/kg and a dibutylphthalate(DBP) value of about 70 - about 130 cm3/100 g and (ii) about 10 - about 70 phr of precipitated silica having a BET surface area of about 125 - about 200 m2/g; and (C) a coupling agent.
