PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a mechanism for supplying ink to a sub-tank by a constitution wherein an air ventilating hole opening/closing mechanism is provided to a pump connecting mechanism and the air ventilating hole opening/ closing mechanism is moved by the operation of the pump connecting mechanism. SOLUTION: There is disclosed an ink jet recorder having a sub-tank to which ink is supplied from a main tank. A pump connecting mechanism 41 comprises a slide plate 43 that moves in the vertical direction, a connection absorption path 50 wherein one end thereof is connected to a side of a pressure reducing pump and the other end thereof is connected to a side of the sub-tank and an air ventilating hole opening/closing means 48 for opening or closing an air ventilating hole provided on the slide plate 43. |
