PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide loading/unloading facilities for sand allowing short-time discharge of even large quantities of sand, and capable of storing in large quantities. SOLUTION: These facilities have discharge pipes 4 connected to a discharge vent 3 for sand/water mixed fluid in a sand load ship 1, partition bodies 5 stored with the sand/water mixed fluid, overflow channels 7 provided in upper edges of the partition bodies 5, a sedimentation pond 8 into which overflow water flows from the overflow channels 7, drainage pipes 9 provided in inner bottom parts of the partition bodies 5, and a sand carrying belt conveyer 11 for supplying drained sand from the partition bodies 5 to the sand load ship 1.
