PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die exchange auxiliary mechanism capable of avoiding the state that a die protruding member and a die holder are brought into tight adhesion not to be separated, surely floating a die in die exchanging through a die protruding member and enabling an die exchange operation without difficulty. SOLUTION: In a plate working machine of a turret punch press P, etc., a die exchange auxiliary mechanism to function in die exchanging consists of a die protruding member 3a and a die protruding cylinder 36 for a die 2 when exchanging the die 2 inserted into/held a die holder 1 on a lower turret. A protruding device 3 is constructed so that a protruding auxiliary part 4, which is formed with an elastic body for preventing the die protruding member 3a from that the die protruding member 3a is stuck to the die holder 1 and is not separated from the die holder 1, is arranged to a collar part 3a-1 rear side face of the die protruding member 3a so as to float the die protruding member 3a with keeping balance.
