PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gene that can produce a large amount of pectic acid lyase of high purity that is useful in washing agents, food-processing agent or the like by making the gene include a specific base sequence. SOLUTION: This pectic acid lyase includes a base sequence selected from the group consisting of (A) the base sequence encoding the polypeptide having the amino acid sequence represented by formula I, (B) a base sequence encoding polypeptide having the amino acid sequences that are derived by deleting, substituting or adding one or more kinds of amino acids from, with or to the amino acid sequence represented by formula I, (C) a base sequence represented by formula II, (D) a base sequence that are derived by deleting, substituted or adding one or more kinds of bases from, with, or to the base sequence represented by formula II and (E) the base sequence of a nucleic acid that hybridizes with any base sequence of the components A-D and encodes the polypeptide having the pectate lyase activity. The objective polypeptide is prepared by culturing a transformant transformed with a recombinant vector including this gene. |
