PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a catalyst device that a temperature rising speed is fast, a temperature distribution is uniform and purifying performance of the exhaust gas is high. SOLUTION: The catalyst device is constituted of a catalyst heater 2 that a catalyst layer is formed on a surface of metallic substrate combined both a catalyst carrier and a heat generator, a catalyst body 3 in which a catalyst layer is formed on a surface of nonconductive metallic substrate, and side plates 3 for supporting side faces of the catalyst heater 2 and the catalyst body 3, and thus the temperature rising speed is fast, the temperature distribution is uniform and the purifying performance of the exhaust gas is high. |
