摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase electric resistance and to improve induction heating characteristic by providing a composition containing specific amounts of Al, Mo, Cr, and Sn. SOLUTION: This Ti alloy contains, by mass, 2.5-6.5% Al, 2-7% Mo, 6-10% Cr, and 2-7% Sn. Al, even in a relatively small amount, can secure high induction heating characteristic while sufficiently stabilizingβ-phase. Mo is aβ-stabilizing element, and it increases the volume ratio ofβ-phase and facilitates the formation of fine equiaxed crystal structure by being allowed to enter into solid solution inβ-phase and can act effectively on the improvement of cold workability. Cr has the same function as Mo. Sn has a function nearly similar to that of Al. The alloy has an electric resistance value as high as about >=180μΩ.cm and can remarkably improve induction heating characteristic when used as a stock for electromagnetic cooking utensils and further has excellent cold workability, so this alloy can be effectively utilized as an electromagnetic heating member for electromagnetic cooker in particular.</p>
