PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a curable resin composition which can form coating films having excellent flexibility, impact resistance, salt water resistance and adhesivity to metals such as iron, (engineering) plastics, and the like, by adding an organic acid metal salt polyamine chelate or the like to a silicone-containing acrylic resin in a specific ratio. SOLUTION: This curable resin composition is obtained by adding (B) an organic metal salt polyamine chelate and/or (C) an organic acid tetetaalkylammonium salt in a total amount of 0.1-20 pts.wt. to (A) 100 pts.wt. of a silicone-containing acrylic resin. The component A is preferably obtained by polymerizing an acrylic monomer such asγ- methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane, methyl methacrylate or the like in the presence of a silicate oligomer of the formula [(n) is 1-20; R is H, a 1-4C alkyl or the like]. The compound of the formula is obtained by hydrolyzing tetramethoxysilane or the like. The component B is obtained, for example, by reacting cobalt acetate with ethylenediamine.
