PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug utilizable for various resins and capable of eliminating such a problem that a lateral stripe, thickness fluctuations, meandering or black stripe is generated in a product at a time of the production of a resin foamed sheet and a method for producing the resin foamed sheet using the plug. SOLUTION: A plug is produced from aluminum in the same way as a conventional plug and the surface thereof is subjected to anodized aluminum treatment and subsequently plated with anodized aluminum. Further, a plug obtained by applying blast treatment to the surface plate with hard anodized aluminum of the aluminum plug by shot blast processing is used.
