PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce communication input/output ports of a microcomputer by outputting response signals from respective ones in prescribed order so as not to overlap with each other when respective sub-microcomputers receive a demand signal from a main microcomputer. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 32' of a side air bag unit 2 for a driver's seat and a micrcomputer of a side air bag unit 3 for a front passenger seat simultaneously receive supply of a demand signal from a microcomputer 8'. In a method of a response signal corresponding to this, the microcomputer 32' of the side air bag unit 2 for a driver's seat outputs a response signal after prescribed time T1 after receiving the demand signal, but the microcomputer of the side air bag unit 3 for a front passenger seat outputs a response signal after prescribed time T2 after receiving the demand signal. These response signals are set so as not to be outputted in an overlapping shape.
