METHOD FOR MOLDING DECORATED MOLDED PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a decorated molded product capable of developing a design of every kind represented by a grain texture design, having aesthetic appearance having a transparent feeling or a depth feeling and improved in warpage. SOLUTION: A surface material comprising a decorating bulk molding compd. containing 3-30 pts.wt. of a decorating pattern material comprising a colored scaly substance with a size (average diameter) of 0.1-2.5 mm per 100 pts.wt. of a thermosetting resin containing org. peroxide as a curing catalyst and a backing material comprising a fiber reinforced thermosetting resin molding material containing org. peroxide as a curing catalyst and also containing a decorating pattern material are superposed one upon another to be molded under heating and pressure within a mold to produce a decorated molded product. In this molding method, the 10 hr half-life temp. (A deg.C) of org. peroxide contained in the decorating bulk molding compd. constituting the surface material and the 10 hr half-life temp. (B deg.C) of org. peroxide contained in the fiber reinforced thermosetting resin molding material constituting the backing material satisfy B deg.C-A deg.C>=15 deg.C.
