PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double floor interposed with a support mechanism between a building floor and a floor panel installed at the specified height, and capable of simultaneously improving two conflicting performances, i,e., the impact noise shut-off performance to downstairs and the strength performance of a floor material against the load applied thereto. SOLUTION: A support mechanism B of the double floor comprises a support body 1 to support the load of a floor panel P, an elatically deformable cushioning material 2 arranged between the support body 1 and a building floor F, and a downwardly cup-shaped restricting means 3 which accommodates the cushioning material 2 so as to form a specified gas inside, and has an insertion hole 32 to allow the support body 1 to pass through an upper wall 33. The restricting means 3 permits the elastic deformation of the cushioning material 2 in a range of the gap 31, and restricts the elastic deformation in the range.
