PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yarn heating apparatus having no possibility of damaging a heater, etc., even in generating a state that the heater is heated to abnormally high temperature. SOLUTION: This yarn heating apparatus has a jacket 18 in which a working fluid is sealed in a yarn heating roll device 1 and has an extraordinarily pressure rising prevention means composed of a hole 22 formed at a tip end face 16 of the roll main body part 7 and communicating outside to inside of the jacket 18 and a valve body located in the hole 22. The valve body is composed of a steel ball 24 engaged into a tapered part 23 formed in the interior part of the hole 22, a plug 25 engaged with a female screw formed in the hole 22 and a spring 26 nipped between the plug 25 and the steel ball 24 and pressing the steel ball 24 to the tapered part 23, then, when a pressure in the jacket 18 is extraordinarily raised by a superheating of a heater 19, the steel ball 24 is separated from the tapered part 23 against an enforced force of the spring 26, thus the pressure in the jacket 18 is escaped to outside.
