PRODUCTION OF FLAT COMBINED FILAMENT YARN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a flat combined filament yarn good in touch, assuming a soft touch feeling and suitable as woven or knitted fabrics. SOLUTION: A polytrimethylene terephthalate multifilament yarn having a difference in shrinkage percentage within the range of 40% and a thermoplastic synthetic mutifilament yarn are doubled and the doubled yarns are then passed through a fluid treating device, subjected to a fluid treatment under conditions of -5 to +10% overfeeding ratio and 1 to 6 kg/cm2 fluid pressure and subsequently heat-treated at 80-230 deg.C temperature.
