PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the snarl or kink of a yarn to be wound and to reduce the yarn cut by arranging a pair of punch forming devices so that forming position of a winding start punch can be changed depending on the stranding direction of the yarn to be wound, or S-strand or Z-strand. SOLUTION: This doffing device 12 has a pair of yarn grasping devices 15 capable of traveling along a rail arranged on the horizontal part of a proper frame and having a cutting and grasping member 15a at the tip, which are substantially linearly arranged. The yarn grasping device 15 has a cylinder 15b having the upper end pivotally supported by a piston mounted on the casing 12a of the doffing device 12 and a piston rod 15c, and the yarn cutting and grasping member 15a capable of cutting a yarn and also grasping it is arranged at the tip of the piston rod 15c. The yarn grasping device 15 is constituted in such a manner as to be capable of approaching or leaving in the direction of a transverse drum 1 by a cam device.
