PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread fastening impact tool to buffer vibration and reaction during the occurrence of impact torque, hardly separate a bit from a screw, and have a torque control means for which an increased life is provided and which is stable. SOLUTION: This impact tool is constituted such that a buffering mechanism part 15 is situated between a reduction mechanism part 7 and an impact mechanism part 22, and when the impact part 22 is rotated to generate impact torque, a relative deviation in an angle occurs between an impact mechanism part 22 and a reduction mechanism part 7 by effecting push-out to the reduction mechanism part 7 side with a spring 25 being pushed by a cam body 16 through cam operation, and reaction to impact torque is buffered. Further, a force to push out in the direction of the bit 28 of a tool tip is generated at the impact mechanism part 22 as a reaction force to an inertia force due to movement of the can body 16, and a fitting between the bit 28 and a thread hole is increased by a force, disengagement hardly occurs, and threading workability is improved.
