PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposer in which pulverized garbage can be smoothly discharged from a discharge port installed at the upper end of a conveying screw. SOLUTION: In a garbage disposer constituted so that in a cylindrical dehydrating screen 3 in which plural dehydrating holes 32 are made, an introducing port 31 for introducing pulverized garbage is formed at the lower end part thereof, and also a conveying screen 5 is arranged inside the screen 3 so that it can be freely subjected to rotary driving and the pulverized garbage introduced into the dehydrating screen 3 from the introducing port 31 is dehydrated while conveying it upward by the forward rotation of the conveying screw 5 to discharge it from a discharge port 33, at the upper end of the conveying screw 5, a cam member 54 is installed, and also near the cam member 54, a scrape-out member 6 is installed opposite to the discharge port 33. The scrape- out member 6 has its point which normally comes into slidable contact with the peripheral surface of the cam member 54 by an energizing member, thereby it can be freely oscillated by the rotation of the conveying screw 5 in the horizontal direction between the axial center side and the discharge port 33 side of the conveying screw 6.
