PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost, the size and the weight by holding compatibility between a gear and a differential case in a differential device having no speed sensing-type differential limiting function. SOLUTION: A differential device is provided with a differential mechanism 3 for distributing driving force of an engine for rotating a differential case from helical pinion gears 11, 13 to the wheel side through helical side gears 7, 9, and a speed sensing-type differential limiting mechanism 5 for limiting the differential according to the differential rotational speed. The speed sensing- type differential limiting mechanism 5 is incorporated in one side gear 7, and the other member 39 is connected to the other side gear 9.
